A group of Honduran cooks broke the record for the largest baleada ever made, in the capital Tegucigalpa on Saturday. However, the feat won't go down in the Guinness Book of World Records because the registration fee reportedly wasn't paid on time. A total of 30 chefs from the Central American Academy of Gastronomy cooked up the giant flour tortilla which was said to boast a diameter of 5.5... Еще metres (18 feet). Some 140 kilos of wheat flour was used in its making along with 160 kilos of cheese, butter and beans. Around 1,500 eggs were also cracked open to make the dish. Roughly 2,000 people came along to see the massive baleada and grab a slice of the traditional Honduran dish.
