The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) announced that the Russian Athletics Federation’s (RUSAF) ban will be maintained, speaking at the 215th IAAF Council Meeting in Monaco on Tuesday.
Head of the IAAF’s task force on Russia, Rune Andersen, said that Russia needs to provide full access to data on Russian athletes in a Moscow laboratory and to compensate IAAF’s... Еще investigation and legal costs before it can be reinstated.
“The task force stands ready to meet as soon as these conditions have been met in order to make a recommendation to council for the reinstatement of RUSAF,” said Andersen.
The Norwegian said that IAAF has received «no assurances» that the data will be given to the organisation directly, adding that «we will have to rely on receiving the data from WADA and then [we will] give it to Athletics Integrity Unit.
RUSAF's IAAF membership was suspended in November 2015 following an investigation into alleged doping in Russian sports following a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) commissioned McLaren report.
