Mexico: Thousands march against NAFTA in Mexico City as trade talks begin

Over 40 trade unions, farmers, environmental and human rights protesters took to the streets of Mexico City on Wednesday to demonstrate against North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) negotiations between the Mexican and US government. Reports suggest that around two million Mexican farmers have lost land under the current NAFTA terms, with US-imported produce making up nearly half of all of Mexico's food.
