Attorney General of Mexican Sonora state, Claudia Indira Contreras Cordova, visited the area on the road between Sonora and Chihuahua on Wednesday, where nine members of the Mormon LeBaron family had been murdered.
Contreras offered her condolences and expressed solidarity with the members of the family, before explaining the work she was doing in the area.
«I was just now with the working team... Еще, from the Public Ministry and experts. I was able to walk around the areas where the events occurred, where the vehicles that were impacted [by the bullets] were. I was also reviewing the way, the trajectory where the shots are,» she said.
The massacre perpetrated by criminals against women and children of a Mormon community in northern Mexico has generated commotion in both Mexico and the US.
The family was gunned down in their cars which were then set on fire. An investigation into the events is still ongoing.
