Mexico: Senate demands 'respect' as Trump deploys troops at border

Mexican Senator Laura Rojas claimed that the country demands ‘respect’ from US President Donald Trump as she spoke in Mexico City on Thursday, following his decision to deploy troops to America’s southern border. Rojas stressed that the Senate ‘categorically rejects categorically President Donald Trump's intention of militarising the border with Mexico and considers this action as an additional... Еще grievance.’ She also added that the Senate advises the Mexican government to 'suspend bilateral cooperation' with the US with regard to migration and the fight against organised crime until ‘Trump behaves with civility and respect.’ On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Trump's plan to send troops to the US-Mexico border, a bill which he later signed off. «The mobilisation of the National Guard will be an important part of the strategy to confront the growing threat of illegal immigration, drugs and violent gang members coming across our southern border,» Sanders said.
