Mexico: Oaxaca residents clear rubble after devastating earthquake

Oaxaca residents cleared rubble from the city streets and debris from buildings, on Friday, following a devastating earthquake that hit the central Mexican city. As Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto reported earlier in the day that the earthquake that hit in the early hours of Friday had a magnitude of 8.2 on the Richter scale, making it «the biggest magnitude to be recorded in our country... Еще in at least the last 100 years.» At least 32 people were killed in the disaster, which has also prompted Tsunami warnings across eight Central American countries, with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre estimating tsunami waves of over three metres (9,84 feet) for parts of the Mexican coast. The tsunami is expected to be felt as far afield as Fiji, Kiribati and French Polynesia.
