Mexico: Migrants forced to flee as rain turns Tijuana shelter into muddy pit

More than 700 Central American migrants were transferred to a new shelter in the Mexican border city of Tijuana, Friday, after heavy rainfall soaked the ground at the Benito Juarez Sports Center causing thick mud and large puddles inside the outdoor makeshift facility. Despite the mud-soaked conditions, wet blankets and bedding, some decided to stay in the overcrowded shelter, which is now... Еще running at double its capacity. The new site called El Barretal is located far from the border area, in the Mariano Matamoros neighbourhood.
