Mexico: Migrants caravan to resume journey despite Trump asylum restrictions

Thousands of Central American migrants on their way to the United States were resting at the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City in Mexico City, as shown in footage filmed on Friday. According to reports, the caravan plans to continue its long journey towards the US-Mexican borderer, despite the US President Trump's newly announced restrictions that will deny asylum to migrants who enter the country... Еще illegally. «On foot, because there are no buses. Nobody is offering us anything, we have nothing. The only thing that remains is to leave,» commented a migrant from Honduras on the plan to return to the road. The migrants, mostly fleeing violence and poverty, have been travelling for almost a month after the group first formed in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The caravan must still travel around 965 kilometres (600 miles) to reach their intended destination of the southern US border.
