Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Erbard visited Bavispe, on Tuesday, where nine members of the Mormon LeBaron family were murdered along with commanders of the armed forces.
Ebrard condemned the events saying they were «an atrocity that cannot be allowed, the president of the republic leads Mexico's indignation at these events.»
«We consider them a very respectable community in Mexico, they are... Еще part of us, of our people since the 1920s, and they are also North American citizens. So the instruction we have from the president is to help and act so that justice is done,» he added.
Chancellor Ebrard stated that Mexican President Lopez Obrador had spoken with his US counterpart Donald Trump about the case, offering his condolences.
The massacre perpetrated by criminals against women and children of a Mormon community in northern Mexico has generated commotion in both Mexico and the US.
The family was gunned down, in their cars which were then set on fire. An investigation into the events is still ongoing.
