Mexico: Hundreds protest despite Trump's family separation U-turn

Hundreds of Mexican and American demonstrators rallied in front of the US Embassy in Mexico City on Thursday, to urge the US congress to act against US President Donald Trump's 'zero-tolerance policy’ towards migrants. Protesters sang the national anthem, held banners reading ‘no to indefinite detention’ and ‘families deserve to be united’ as well as chanting ‘immigrants are not criminals... Еще.’ Trump's administration has been roundly condemned for its treatment of migrants at the southern border after 2,300 migrant children were separated from their parents between mid-April and May. Trump announced a reversal of the policy to separate children from their parents after he signed an executive order on Wednesday. Protesters said Trump's order was not enough as they called to end 'zero tolerance' policy at the border.
