Hundreds of people participated in the funeral of little Fatima, a seven-year-old girl who had disappeared on February 11 and was found brutally murdered six days later.

Many of those present held white balloons in memory of the slain girl. Later, Fatima was laid to rest in a cemetery.
Fatima disappeared after school on February 11. According to witnesses, a woman had picked up the little girl from school. Six days later the girl's body, marked with torture, was found inside a bag.
The Attorney General's Office (FGJ) of Mexico City has offered a reward of 2 million Mexican pesos ($107,000, 99,000 euros) for those who provide information that leads to the finding of those responsible for the crime.
The murder of Fatima has sparked outrage over the slow response of the institutions to the levels of violence and crime that affect the country, especially against women and girls.
