German Chancellor Angela Merkel reacted to the first German federal election exit poll results, at party headquarters in Berlin on Sunday. «No need to avoid talking about it — we expected a better result that's absolutely clear,» she said. «But we don't have to forget that we had a difficult period behind [us] ... We are the strongest party as CDU/CSU. We are commissioned to form a government... Еще and no government can be built against us,» she added. The first exit poll result has CDU/CSU at 32.5 percent, SPD at 20 percent and AfD in third place with 13.50 percent. The result gives AfD access to the German parliament for the first time.
