Professional welder and a modern artist Aleksandra Ivleva has garnered international fame for her success in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Ivleva, who is also known as the 'Weld Queen', showcased her sculpture in Moscow on Monday. The artist talked about her creative process. «The ideas come to me very unexpectedly, while driving a car or I wake up in the morning with new ideas... Еще already.» «Almost all of my sculptures are based on a sketch or a small plasticine model. I just catch the form while I'm working and assembling the sculpture», she added. Apart from sculptures, Ivleva designs welding clothes, among them several dresses, costumes and jackets. At the moment, more than 20 of the Weld Queen's sculptures are being exhibited around Russia and abroad.
