The Macedonian parliament in Skopje voted in favour of ratifying the name change deal with Greece on Wednesday. Members of the nationalist opposition party VMRO DPMNE boycotted the session, which ended in an overwhelming 69 to 0 votes in favour of the ratification. After the ratification by the Macedonian parliament, the agreement needs to be confirmed via referendum in September.
