Last week, some 300 US soldiers and 120 military vehicles arrived in Macedonia to take part in the joint drills, which are set to run until August 10. According to Macedonia's Defence Ministry, the main objective of the drills is to deepen US-Macedonia military cooperation as well as strengthen Macedonia's military and operation capability, compatible with NATO standards.
