Luxembourg: UK can halt Brexit without EU's consent, says ECJ Legal Advisor

The United Kingdom can unilaterally revoke its withdrawal from the European Union, according to a legal opinion announced by the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg City on Tuesday. Advocate general Maneul Campos Sanchez-Bordona rejected the contention that Article 50 of the EU Treaty only allows the possibility of revocation following a unanimous decision of the EU Council. The statement... Еще would mean that the UK could stop Brexit without the 27 member states' consent, even if UK Prime Minister Theresa May's deal is voted down next week. The case was brought to the European top court by a cross-party group of Scottish politicians.
