Luxembourg: EU doesn’t want to build Brexit wall with UK — Tusk

European Council President Donald Tusk said the EU doesn’t want to build a wall with the UK following Brexit, during a meeting with Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel in Luxembourg on Wednesday. Tusk said a free trade agreement with the UK would be «the first FTA in history that loosens economic ties instead of strengthening them.» «Our agreement will not make trade between the UK and EU... Еще frictionless or smoother,» he said. «It will make it more complicated and costly than today for all of us. This is the essence of Brexit.» The EU Council President said Theresa May’s objective was to «demonstrate at any price that Brexit could be a success,» but that was not the objective of the EU.
