During his visit to the Libyan capital Tripoli on Thursday, April 4, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reportedly said he was moved and shocked by the level of suffering he witnessed at a detention centre for refugees and migrants in the Libyan capital.
Migrants, mostly from Somalia, greeted the Secretary-General in the detention facility where they are kept by Libyan authorities.
Guterres... Еще can be seen arriving at the centre with other members of the UN delegation and communicating with migrants.
According to reports, Guterres said it would be difficult to argue that Libya could be considered a safe country, and called on the international community to do for to address the human rights of the migrants.
