Libya: Three killed, eight injured as airstrikes hit al-Zawiya

At least three people were killed, and eight injured after several airstrikes hit the city of al-Zawiya, 45 km (28 mile) to the west of Tripoli, on Thursday. The attack was allegedly conducted by the Libyan National Army (LNA). One of the residents said «The criminal, Khalifa Haftar, attacked al-Zawiya city, he raided the city, which led to the killing of more than three and left more than eight... Еще people wounded with medium to serious injuries.» He added saying «We say to him [Haftar] that, god's willing, we will resist and we will not give up on our principles, no to the military regime, no to Haftar's government and no to his military.» Reports say the latest airstrike was part of the ongoing fighting between forces loyal to Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA) and General Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army (LNA). Haftar's campaign to capture Tripoli from the UN-backed GNA was launched in early April and was met by the resistance of local armed groups backing the UN-recognised government.
