Libya: Thousands demonstrate after at least 16 civilians killed in airstrike

Thousands of people took to streets of the eastern city of Derna on Tuesday to condemn an airstrike that killed at least 16 civilians, including eight children, a day earlier. Libya's UN-backed Government of National Accord slammed the airstrikes by the unidentified warplane calling it a «war crime.» Locals chanted and clapped as they marched to honour the dead and protest against the bombing of... Еще innocent children and civilians. The coastal city of Derna, located some 250 km northwest of Benghazi, is the only city in eastern Libya outside the control of the Libyan armed forces. Derna is located west of the Egyptian border and is currently under siege as it is considered a stronghold of Islamist militia.
