Lebanon: Lebanese football league resumes after pause due to COVID, Beirut blasts

Lebanon's professional football league returned to the pitch, on Saturday, after months of suspension due to COVID-19 and the Beirut explosion. The Al-Akhaa Al-Ahly and Al-Shabab Al-Ghazia clubs faced off in the town of Bhamdoun. «This was the start of the league today and it was a good start. The two teams have maintained the atmosphere of healthy divergence, and we hope it will continue,» said Al-Akhaa captain Ahmed Atwi.
