Thousands gathered to welcome Lebanese Prime Minister Sa'ad al-Hariri back to Beirut, after he announced delaying his resignation upon the request of President Aoun on Wednesday. Hariri's supporters swarmed the streets adjacent to his house, where they held a rally to celebrate his return to Lebanon. «I'm staying with you,» Hariri addressed the crowds. «We have all come here on the Independence... Еще Day to say, we have nothing more precious than our country, we have nothing but our country,» he added. To the cheers of the rally, Hariri concluded, «Our principles won't ever change, and our slogan will be: Lebanon first.» The Lebanese Prime Minister arrived in Beirut on Tuesday, two weeks after unexpectedly announcing his resignation from Riyadh. He has since repeatedly denied rumours he was placed under house arrest in the Saudi capital.
