Latvia: Cabinet backs bill to ban face veils in public places

Latvia's cabinet of ministers supported the draft bill to restrict the wearing of certain religious garments covering the face in public places in the capital on Tuesday. After the cabinet's approval, the bill will be sent to Parliament (Saeima) to be discussed and voted on. Originally, the bill was introduced by the Ministry of Justice.
