Police clashed with opposition protesters in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on Tuesday, two days before the re-run of the presidential election. Protesters shouted slogans condemning the Kenyan government and the country's Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). Police fired tear gas to disperse the demonstration. Opposition leader Raila Odinga withdrew from Kenya's upcoming vote... Еще after claiming that the electoral commission had not taken measures necessary to ensure a fair election the second time round. The original election in August was nullified by the Supreme Court following protests and a legal challenge over alleged vote-rigging. After initially calling for protests during polling day, Odinga has since encouraged voters to stay at home and boycott the vote.
