Japan: US and South Korea military jets fly over Korean peninsula in display of force

Two B-1B and four F-35B fighter jets from the US military joined four F-15K jets from South Korea as they flew from the Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Yamaguchi over the Korean Peninsula in a military drill, Monday, in the latest display of force amidst heightened tensions with North Korea. As part of the exercise, the war planes released live weapons in firing range whilst in flight over... Еще South Korea, according to the US Pacific Command. The jets also carried out formation training near the Japanese island of Kyushu. The drills come after North Korea recently launched its latest missile test which flew over the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, travelling 3,700 km (2,300 miles) before landing in the Pacific Ocean.
