Japan's FLOATING HOTEL protects guests against tsunamis

Japan's first floating hotel, which protects guests against tsunamis, was launched in the Dutch-themed Huis Ten Bosch theme-park in Nagasaki on Monday. The spherical capsule pod hotel room, that could float across the sea overnight, allows adventurous holiday makers to gaze up at the stars through its glass ceiling. Equipped with house beds, showers and toilets, each pod can carry up to 100... Еще people safely. The concept designer of the floating pods hotel Shioji Tahara said the hotel, which has better protection against tsunamis or any kind of natural disasters, is designed for the safety of the general public. Since 2016, the Dutch-themed Huis Ten Bosch Ltd. has begun to work on the round shaped floating hotel. The company has bought a four-hectare island in Naruma Bay, about six kilometres from the ferry port in its replica Dutch town.
