Italy: 'Sardines' activists fill Milan square for anti-Salvini protest

Thousands of so-called 'sardine' protesters rallied in Milan on Sunday to demonstrate their opposition to the League party and its leader Matteo Salvini. The rally started with the symbolic reading of first articles of the Italian constitution, stressing the importance of guaranteeing equal rights to everybody living in Italy regardless of nationality, as well as reaffirming the commitment to... Еще anti-fascist and anti-war values. The organisers said they managed to tightly pack the iconic Duomo square with 25,000 protesters, as per the activists' original sardine school concept. The movement held similar demonstrations in various cities across the country, such as Florence, Rimini, Bologna, Modena.
