League Party leader Matteo Salvini rallied with Forza Italia leader Silvio Berlusconi and Brothers of Italy's Giorgia Meloni in Ravenna on Friday ahead of Sunday's local elections.
Salvini took the stage in front of supporters as he promised to 'liberate' the traditionally left-wing stronghold of Emilia-Romagna.
«I'm proud to have your trust. For you, for my children, for your children and for... Еще this country, I am ready to sacrifice my life as well,» said Salvini.
The region will elect its president on January 26. Recent polls suggest current leader Stefano Bonaccini is running neck-and-neck with his League Party rival Lucia Borgonzoni.
