Italy: Police seize 14 tons of IS-made amphetamines from Syria

Italian police seized a 14-ton haul of Islamic State-made (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) amphetamines from Syria, found at the port of Salerno, on Wednesday. The shipment, hidden in three containers, consisted of 84 million Captagon tablets, worth about one billion euro ($1,122bn). Captagon is a brand name originally used for medical purposes, but illegal versions were dubbed 'Jihad Drug' after reportedly being widely used by IS fighters.
