Police and carabinieri detained dozens of people around Milan Central Station on Tuesday, as the city struggled to deal with a new wave of migrants. Most of the people that were detained were migrants. Police checked their documents and took several people to the police headquarters. Controls were carried out in the Piazza Duca d'Aosta, Piazza Luigi di Savoia and Piazza IV Novembre, and... Еще several roads were closed for the duration of the operation. Milan's Central Station has become a gathering spot for many because of its excellent links to the rest of Europe. Italian cities are under pressure as tens of thousands of migrants arrive in the south and border controls become ever stricter in the north.
