Italy: Passengers returning from China share experiences in Milan airport

Passengers returning to Milan's Malpensa airport from China on Friday shared their experiences in the country amid the coronavirus outbreak, as two cases were confirmed in Italy. Footage shows several passengers wearing face masks. One Italian passenger said he was scared of being infected. «I did not eat during the last week I was there. I fasted. To avoid any infection, since Chinese people all... Еще happily eat from the same plate. So I preferred to avoid any type of contact with any kind of person,» he said. Another Italian passenger returning from Shanghai said that in the Chinese city they were doing 'everything you can imagine' to contain the virus. «In any shop you enter they check your temperature, even in the banks. They are always checking you.» On Friday, the Italian government said it was suspending all flights between Italy and China and announced a state of emergency in the country after medical officials confirmed two Chinese tourists in Rome were tested positive for the coronavirus. The newly discovered virus, which originated in the now-quarantined central Chinese city of Wuhan, has spread to 23 countries, including Germany, France, Finland Canada and the US, prompting the World Health Organisation (WHO) to declare it a global health emergency.
