Local residents got to work shoveling mud from their houses and roads in the Alpine town of Ollomont on Wednesday, following a mud slide that led to the evacuation of some 150 people. The residents were evacuated from their homes on Tuesday night following heavy rainfall and the flooding of the Buthier Ollomont stream. Residents were evacuated from the Vaud, Fontaine and Voueces districts... Еще. Holidaymakers staying in a nearby campsite also had to seek safer ground. The Ollomont municipality organised transport buses for holiday makers as local residents picked up their gardening tools and started to assist with clearing the roads.
