Italy: Monument to Russian officer killed in Palmyra unveiled in Vagli Sotto

A two-metre (6.60 feet) monument honouring slain Russian special forces officer Alexander Prokhorenko was unveiled near the Italian town of Vagli Sotto on Sunday. Russian and Italian authorities, reportedly including members of the Russian armed forces, were present at the inauguration of the statue. Prokhorenko died in March 2016 in Palmyra, Syria, after ordering an airstrike on his own...
