Italy: Milan's ionic Duomo reopens to visitors after coronavirus shutdown

Milan's iconic Duomo cathedral reopened its doors to visitors on Monday, one week after it had closed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Footage shows security guards checking guests on their way into the building. Despite the coronavirus outbreak, some tourists remained upbeat, with one visitor stating, «I am not afraid of the virus and I do not know if the people are in general afraid of it... Еще.» Multiple countries have advised travellers not to visit the affected areas of Italy, while others have recommended that people returning from the region place themselves in self-isolation upon their return. More than 1600 people have been tested positive for coronavirus in Italy, with the Lombardy region having the highest number of cases, followed by Veneto. In Italy, 42 people have died of the virus and 83 of those infected have recovered.
