The Acca Larentia killings refer to the murder of three Youth Front activists from the neo-fascist group the Italian Social Movement (ISM) on January 7, 1978. Two of the three victims Franco Bigonzetti, Francesco Ciavatta were attacked on a street known as Acca Larentia in Rome, Stefano Recchioni was killed at another location. No one was convicted for the murders, with far-right implicating state forces as responsible. Following the murders, riots broke out throughout the capital. The event has been commemorated annually since.
