Juventus fans rejoiced in the Piazza San Carlo in Turin, on Sunday night, after their team took home yet another 'Serie A' title over Genoa-based Sampdoria.
Cristiano Ronaldo added a goal late in the first half, his 31st on the season, to help the squad take its initial lead, before eventually claiming a 2-0 victory.
«We are happy to have achieved this result despite the annus horribilis (horrible year) that we have all experienced for other problems. Juventus never denies: 'Winning is not important but it is the only thing that counts' as our motto says,» remarked one fan.
Fans were generally pleased with the Portuguese superstar's contributions, believing he was fundamental to the season's success that had already faced challenges after delays due to coronavirus.
«This season Ronaldo was very, very incisive because he scored more than 30 goals. Without this 'CR7' it would have been very hard and we will see in Champions League what we will be able to give and what we will be able to do on the pitch,» said one fan.
Winning the 'Scudetto' for the season marks the ninth consecutive title for the Turin club.
