Italy: First direct cargo train departs Italy to China

The first direct cargo train that connects Italy and China departed from Mortara in Northern Italy to Chengdu city in China on Tuesday. The 11,000-killometers (6,835 miles) route stems across Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. People attended the opening ceremony at the Mortara Polo Logistics center in Pavia province. The trip takes around 18 days, almost 20 days less, compared with the... Еще same trip by sea. The train consists of 17 coaches, 34 containers with equipment, furniture and cars.
