Italy: COVID-19 tests conducted on passengers at Rome’s Tiburtina bus station

Some passengers arriving at Rome's Tiburtina bus station from Romania were tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday, in a precautionary procedure to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Health workers were seen preparing their medical gear by the makeshift testing station ahead of the arrival of a bus. Some 10 people, including the bus driver, were reportedly tested, and all results were negative. As of Wednesday, Italy has reported 246,776 coronavirus cases, with 35,129 related deaths, according to figures compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
