ISS: Russian cosmonauts send New Year’s wishes from space

Russian cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Alexander Misurkin sent their New Year's wishes from the International Space Station (ISS) on Friday. «We are lucky, every time we look out the window, we see the beauty of our blue planet, admire its sunrises and sunsets, enjoy the shining of the distant stars in open space. Today we want to give you this miracle, dear friends, wishing joy, good fortune... Еще and real 'space' health,» Shkaplerov said. «Let disagreements go away, resentments will be forgotten and arguments will stop in the New Year. Our country will develop and prosper, your close friends and relatives will be with you. Be happy, friends,» Misurkin added. According to Roscosmos' Mission Control Centre, the cosmonauts on board the ISS will have the change to celebrate the New Year 15 times because of the station’s orbital path.
