NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Kate Rubins, as well as Soichi Noguchi from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), shared their reactions following their successful docking with the International Space Station on Wednesday, during a video conference on Thursday.
«It has been a tough year. And the fact that they were able to, Space X and NASA were able to get our spacecraft ready to go, the rocket ready to go, throughout this year, throughout this pandemic and all that. You know, we were inspired by everybody's efforts to do that. So that's why we named it resilience and we hope it was able to put a smile into people's faces and brings hopes to them,» explained NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins.
«The Falcon 9 performed superbly, the way it was supposed to. Dragon performed superbly,» added Glover.
It's NASA first mission to the station launched with the help of a private company.
