Tens of thousands of people gathered at Tel Aviv's Eurovillage to watch a live broadcast of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, on Thursday evening.
The Eurovillage saw fans from all across Europe enjoying the music, singing and dancing.
Many were dazzled by the setting, as long-time fan Jakob said: «Israel and especially Tel Aviv did a great job as a host country because... Еще they presented themselves in the best way. It's my fifth Eurovision and I never saw such a friendly surrounding outside the venue.»
Despite the praise from loyal fans, this year's contest has attracted criticism, with some choosing to boycott the event over Israel's human rights record.
The countries who made it through the second semi-final were: Albania; Azerbaijan; Denmark; Malta; Netherlands; North Macedonia; Norway; Russia; Sweden and Switzerland.
The 10 qualifying countries will join nine others who made it through Tuesday's semi-final. The line-up will be completed by the 'big-five' nations — France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK — and host nation Israel.
