Thousands of protesters gathered in front of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's official residence in Jerusalem on Thursday, in the latest of a series of anti-government demonstrations in the country.
Protesters could be seen with placards an carrying Israeli flags. Several Netanyahu also turned up for a counter demonstration, which was kept apart from the anti-government demonstration by police and a barrier. Police could also be seen intervening in the demonstration and appeared to be questioning a protester.
Several protesters could also be seen sitting silently in protest on the ground.
Several protests against Netanyahu have been taking place across the country over prime minister's corruption charges as well as what's perceived as his government's poor handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Thursdays protest is reportedly the sixth to take place in the last 10 days, with more expected over the weekend.
