Israel: Protesters decry Tel Aviv's planned asylum seeker deportations to Uganda

Hundreds of African asylum seekers, Israeli activists and residents took to Tel Aviv’s streets on Monday to slam the Israeli government's decision to deport tens of thousands of African asylum-seekers to Uganda. «[We are here] to tell the Ugandan government and Ugandan people to not be a part of human trafficking deal with the Israeli government,» a Sudanese asylum-seeker Monim Haron said... Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently announced a settlement deal with the UN but back-tracked shortly after following increased criticism from right-wing groups within his own government.
