Israel: Police disperse anti-Netanyahu protesters at Tel Aviv rally

Israeli police dispersed anti-government protesters as hundreds of activists blocked several streets in Tel Aviv including the major Ayalon Highway on Tuesday. Officers on horses were seen pushing protesters to leave the area. The demonstration began outside the residence of Public Security Minister Amir Ohana, who recently called for tougher police response during demonstrations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Israel has been hit by anti-Netanyahu protests as activists accuse the Prime Minister of corruption and poor handling of the COVID pandemic.
