Israel: Jaffa streets on fire as hundreds clash with police over Muslim burial ground

Protesters clash with police during renewed demonstrations against Tel Aviv's municipality's plan to build a homeless shelter over an old Muslim cemetery in Jaffa, Sunday. After work re-started on a former Muslim cemetery less than a week ago, protesters took the streets with some setting trash bins on fire, hurling stones and shooting fireworks at officers. According to reports, at least four protesters were arrested. Over the past two months, numerous protests have taken place in Jaffa against the Tel Aviv municipality's plans to build on the site, resulting in clashes between protesters and police.
