Protesters against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government flooded Tel Aviv's Rothschild Boulevard, Saturday.
Police were present at the scene, with people seen chanting and holding banners. According to reports, at least nine people were arrested after a group of protesters reportedly clashed with the officers.
The demonstrators decried the worsening economic situation and management of the COVID-19 pandemic by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration. On Friday, Netanyahu announced a new partial shutdown saying it would help to flatten the curve amid a renewed surge in infections.
