Ireland: Euro 2020 qualifying groups set at draw in Dublin

Head coach Gareth Southgate said of the group, «I've been in international football long enough to know that all of the places you visit in particular are very difficult.» «We are potentially one of the host cities — well we are one of the host cities, so we've got to make sure that we are there [at Euro 2020],» he stated. Germany meanwhile were drawn in Group C alongside the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Estonia and Belarus. Head coach Joachim Loew described it as an «interesting group» and said his side's target is to «ensure direct qualifaction.» The top two in each group will qualify automatically for Euro 2020 while an additional four spots will be filled via the play-offs.
