Hundreds of protesters hit the streets of the Shi'ite holy city of Najaf on Friday, as public outrage over poor economic growth and bad social services continued across the country. Protesters held banners and waved Iraqi flags, as they chanted slogans. Sheikh Mohammed al-Hassan addressed the protesters and said «we are stripped of services, comfort, and health. Unemployment is rampant among... Еще the youth. They [government] have committed a crime against the people of Iraq.» Demonstrations against the prevailing economic situation have swept the southern part of the country since last week.
