Protesters reportedly set fire to the entrance of Iraqi Shiite Ayatollah Mohammed Baqir al-Hakim's tomb, in Najaf on Saturday, as clashes continued between anti-government demonstrators and security forces.
Footage shows the crowd engaged in running battles with security guards, throwing projectiles and running away. Some protesters were also filmed holding Molotov cocktails.
«We don't care... Еще about looting; we are here to assert our demands as protesters, to release our brothers who are detained in this tomb. The security guards are shooting at us with live munition of all sorts,» said one of the protesters.
Nearly 400 have been killed since the start of October in the anti-government protests, and at least a dozen of the security forces. The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi announced his resignation on Friday, as protesters demand an end to corruption and better public services and more jobs.
