Anti-government protests continued in Baghdad on Friday, as thousands flooded into central Tahrir square and marched through the former International Zone of the city, also known as the Green Zone.
Protesters were seen dancing and waving with Iraqi flags while music was played from loudspeakers.
On Thursday, Iraqi President Barham Salih said during a televised address that repression and use of... Еще violence against protesters is unacceptable, while media reports of injuries among protesters continue.
Protests began in early October over corruption, unemployment and lack of basic services. However, demonstrations were suspended after the security forces started using live ammunition, reportedly killing nearly 150 people.
